Personal Branding

My name is Ryan Jones. I am student at the Richland Collegiate High School. I am majoring in actuarial science because I enjoy mathematics and problem-solving. I enjoy editing photos and creating funny pictures in Photoshop, especially of Bill Nye and popular Star Wars characters.

 

I ride the DART train and bus to and from school every day. However, people who use public transportation tend to be quiet and alone. It is the most quiet and peaceful, yet boring, activity of my day. I live near Galatyn Parkway right off of US-75 and I live 5 miles from my school at Richland College and within walking distance to the Galatyn Park train station. It typically takes me 25 minutes to get to school using DART and driving, so I save a lot of money by not driving a car.

I am hardworking and punctual with all things that I do in my life. I enjoy learning in the majority of my classes as every semester I take more and more classes that relate to major, like accounting this Spring semester. For Fall of 2017, I plan to attend the University of Texas at Dallas and hope to graduate by Spring of 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science.

 

 

I find that when I am at home or not doing anything, I tend to stare and think about things that are going on in my life for up to 10 minutes before I realize that I have homework to finish or a test to study for. I have been known by my family as a thinker, someone who thinks a long time evaluating before they talk or take actions. Because of this, I tend to be quiet in class and less talkative around other people. 

 

I have been a very helpful peer throughout my high school career. Since I am a nice person and very fluent in math, I used to let my friends copy off of my math work in class in 8th grade and realized that they were failing their tests as a result. I began to help them to understand the content that was being taught and they passed more of their tests as a result. 

 

I am very passive when it comes to social networks or social media. I rarely post pictures on the internet, but I do look at a lot of other peoples' social network profiles. One network I use very often is YouTube. I watch around 2-3 hours of YouTube videos every day, ranging from gaming videos to vlogs. Most of the people I watch on YouTube have over a million subscribers, but I don't follow any of my friends on YouTube. I get on twitter sometimes to watch memes or cute and funny animal gifs. Sometimes, I also play online video games on the weekends with my old friends from my last high school.
